Peter D. Gehres, CAI, CES
Peter D. Gehres is a first generation auctioneer and Realtor who specializes in selling both personal property and real estate at auction for clients in Ohio and the Midwest. He is an Auctioneer and Appraiser at United Country/Gryphon Realty & Auction Group, a Columbus, Ohio based auction company. He also works as a contract auctioneer for numerous Midwest auction companies. In addition he represents both buyers and sellers in traditional and auction real estate transactions. Gehres is the co-founder for The Super Auction, a unique biannual event that brings together auction companies from across the Midwest for an exposition of American Auctioneering. He is also the Executive Director of The Auctioneer Channel, a video sharing, educational and networking website for the auction industry.
Gehres teaches at The Ohio Auction School, Reppert School of Auctioneering, Certified Auctioneers Institute and has spoken at various state auctioneer associations and is scheduled to present at the 61st National Auctioneers Association Conference & Show in Greensboro, North Carolina. Gehres owns Auctions on Track an auction education, leadership training and motivation company that presents auction education and motivational programs to associations, businesses groups and continuing education classes. Gehres is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and studies in Agricultural Engineering and Economics. Gehres is also a graduate of The Ohio Auction School and Hondros College (Real Estate).
Gehres is the 2010 Michigan Auctioneer Champion as well a member of the Michigan State Auctioneering Association’s Board of Directors. Gehres has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation which is the highest educational recognition in the auction industry. In addition he earned the Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designation and completed ProTrack, an advanced professional speaker education and training course, offered by the National Speakers Association's Ohio Chapter.
